7/16/2008 – Delmar Fire crews were on scene of an early morning car fire on Sweet Pea Lane in the Ponds Edge Community south of Delmar. Engine 74-3 arrived to find a car fully engulfed in flames. The father & son team of Firefighters Rob Thompson and Tyler Thompson put a 1 ½ foam line in service and quickly put the fire out.
Delmar Police along with the Wicomico County Sheriffs Department were on scene. An investigation is underway for the owners of the vehicle and to the cause of the fire.
