7/6/16 – Queen Anne’s County dispatched Station 4 (Goodwill), Paramedic 4, Paramedic 400, EMS-3 and Talbot County Station 80 (Queen Anne-Hillsboro) for an MVC in front of 1704 Ruthsburg Road. Units arrived on location to find one tractor-trailer overturned in the caller’s front yard. After the patients were evaluated, Aviation was requested. The driver of the truck refused treatment at the scene and the passenger was flown by Trooper 6 to John Hopkins in Baltimore. Station 1 (Kent Island) was requested to the scene with their pump-off trailer to remove the diesel fuel from the saddle tanks prior to up righting the truck.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Maryland State Police.
