4/16/15 – Talbot Center dispatched Station 60 (Easton), Station 50 (Cordova), Paramedic 90 and Paramedic 96 for an MVC , reported serious with entrapment, on Longwoods Road in the area of Airport Road. Units arrived on location to find a concrete truck overturned in the roadway. After the lone occupant was extricated from the truck, he was transported to the Memorial Hospital at Easton. Once he was stabilized, he was then transported by Trooper 6 to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Maryland State Police. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
