1/7/14 – At approximately 10:55 AM with a temperature of 11 degrees and a wind chill of -5 degrees, Talbot Center dispatched Station 50 (Cordova), Station 60 (Easton), Station 80 (Queen Anne-Hillsboro), and Paramedic 90 for a working house fire at 12176 Church Lane. Chief 60 arrived on location to find a single family dwelling, fully involved. Officer 601 (S. Jones) established command, requested a 2nd Alarm and advised it would be a defensive attack only. Engine 52 and Brush 66 set up a draft site in a pond about a mile down the road to supply the water shuttle. Units remained on the scene for approximately 3 hours for overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
