7/30/2013 – At 2308 hours, Kent County Central Alarm dispatched Box 70-1 for the working structure fire at 5578 Main Street, Rock Hall. Captain 7 arrived on the location to advise of a single family dwelling fully involved. The owners of the house were away on vacation when the fire struck. House and contents were a total loss.
Companies on the call included; Rock Hall VFC, Chestertown VFC, Betterton VFC, Kennedyville VFC, Galena VFC, Millington VFC, Kent and Queen Annes Rescue Squad, Kent County Paramedics. Mutual Aid from Queen Annes County brought Crumpton VFC and Church Hill VFC also into the scene.

Cecilton Engine to Chestertown Station 6
Townsend (DE) Engine to Betterton Station 5
Middletown (DE) Engine to Galena Station 3
The cause of the fire is being investigated by MD State Fire Marshal
