2/11/2011 – The Pittsville Fire Department was alerted for an accident with rescue at the intersection of Sixty Ft Rd and Rt.50 westbound. Crews arrived to find a Jeep overturned in the median and a passenger car with heavy front end damage on the roadway. All patients were able to get out of the vehicles on their own power so no rescue was needed. EMS crews transported two pri-2 patients to PRMC in Salisbury for treatment. Sta.7 Fire Police shut down Rt.50 for about 45 mins during the alarm.
