8/17/2010 – Around 1:15am Wicomico Central alerted Station 5 (Hebron) to a reported woods fire along Rockawalkin Ridge Rd. Car 5 with 5-15 arrived on location to find the fire had spread to an abandoned chicken house and call was upgraded to a structure fire, bringing in Station 74 (Delmar) and Station 16 (Salisbury). Upon doing a walk around the structure, it was found to actually be 3 chicken houses close together. Chief D. Beach (5-15) immediately requested additional resources from Station 9 (Mardela Springs) and Station 12 (West Side). Station 14 (Sharptown) was alerted to standby at Station 5, while Station 79 (Gumboro) was alerted to standby at Station 74.
