8/6/2010 – At approximately 11:50 AM Caroline dispatched Station 400 (Ridgely), Station 600 (Greensboro), Station 300 (Denton) and Talbot County Station 80 (Queen Anne-Hillsboro) for a house fire at 306 Maple Avenue. Engine 401 arrived on location, Officer 420 (R. Baker) reported smoke showing and established command.
The crews from Engine 401 and Engine 603 were able to make a quick knock on the fire keeping it contained to one room down stairs. The crews from Engine 304 and Engine 85 assisted with checking for extension and ventilation, the house had heavy smoke throughout.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Office.
