11/18/2009 – At approximately 5:40 PM Queen Anne’s County dispatched Station 6 (Sudlersville), Station 5 (Church Hill) and Caroline County Station 700 (Goldsboro) for a dwelling fire at 2350 Goldsboro Road.
Engine 64 arrived on location and laid a 5” supply line up the lane. Officer 607 (R. Nicholson) reported heavy fire showing and established “Goldsboro Road” command. Crews from Engine 64 and Quint 6 advanced hand lines to the 2nd floor and began an interior attack. Upon arrival, Tanker 704 hooked to the supply line and Officer 715 (J.T. Bartz) handled water supply officer. At this time command requested the Tanker Task Force and minutes later requested a 2nd alarm. Crews battled the blaze for approximately 1½ hours before command placed the situation under control and held all units for extensive overhaul.
