11/16/2009 – This evening Caroline County Station 100 (Federalsburg) along with Station 200 (Preston) and Station 300 (Denton) conducted a controlled burn of an old barn on Long Swamp Road.
Due to a number of close exposures Engine 201 established a draft site a short distance down the road and supplied water to Engine 102 and Tower 1. Additional water was supplied by Tanker 107, Tanker 306 and Tanker 202. Several hand lines were placed in service to protect the structures, allowing the cadets a chance to be on the nozzle.
The controlled burn was under the command of Officer 116 (J. Holland)
