6/20/2009 – Around 18:45 on Saturday, June 20, Kent Center dispatched Station 50 (Harrington) and Caroline County Station 600 (Greensboro) for a silo fire on Bullock Road, west of Harrington and directed units to switch to and utilize K-TAC4. Command 50 with 50-19 (Captain Jeff Outten) went responding shortly after. Deputy Chief Rob Wyatt (50-16) arrived on scene first and advised smoke showing from the top of the silo. Command had Tower 50 pull in and position by the silo to set up for master stream operations. Engine 603 layed a 4′ line up the farm lane and set up to supply Tower 50 with a foam line. Engine/Tanker 50-2 hooked up to the line and supplied Engine 603 until a draft was set up from a retention pond using Brush 602. Command placed the incident under control around 20:45, with units remaining on scene until 23:30 finishing mop up.
