6/19/2009 – Around 23:20 on Friday, June 19, Kent Center dispatched Station 50 (Harrington) for a house fire on Hanley Street in Harrington and directed units to switch to and utilize K-TAC4. Command 50 with 50-17 (Assistant Chief Robbie Brode) went responding shortly after. Harrington PD Corporals Kenny Brode (907-5, a/k/a 50-21) and Donald Lonski (907-8) arrived on scene, 907-5 reporting heavy fire showing just prior to Command 50’s arrival. Command had Engine 50-1 place two CAFS lines in service and crews were able to make a quick knock on the fire. Harrington PD Corporals Lonski and Brode took a suspect who is believed to have started the fire in custody at the scene. Command placed the incident under control around 23:55 and crews secured the scene for the fire marshal. Engine 50-1 was held to assist the fire marshals and returned to quarters around 02:55.
