11/30/2017 – On Nov 30, 2017, Station 81 Laurel was alerted for an abandoned trailer fire. While responding, due to the large amount of smoke, E-4 requested Sharptown Sta. 14 be alerted to assist. Laurel Fire Dept. arrived on scene to find multiple outbuildings, including a chicken house on fire. Also on scene was Delmar Station 74, Blades Station 71, and an additional tanker from Station 9 Mardela. Crews worked for approx. an hour to get the fires under control.
