9/5/16 – Queen Anne’s County dispatched Station 3 (Queenstown), Hazmat 1 (Kent Island) and Paramedic 3 for an MVC with a fuel leak on Bloomingdale Road. Units arrived on location to find a trash truck overturned in the roadway with an active leak. Crews were able to quickly contain the leak and all three occupants refused treatment at the scene. The roadway remained closed for several hours while the wreckage was removed. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Department.
