8/28/16 – At approximately 2:45 PM Queen Anne’s County dispatched Station 80 (Queen Anne-Hillsboro) and Paramedic 400 for an MVC with injuries on Starr Road in the area of Horseshoe Road. Chief 80 (D. Lister) arrived on location to find one vehicle in the field with the occupants still inside. After patient evaluation, Aviation was requested. Once crews completed extrication, both patients were transported to the Armory where Engine 401 (Ridgely) had secured the LZ. Both patients were flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland by Trooper 6.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Maryland State Police.
