Chicken House Fire – Greenwood Rd. – Denton, Md.

   February 21, 2013

2/21/2013 – Caroline dispatched Station 300 (Denton), Station 600 (Greensboro), Station 200 (Preston) and Station 100 (Federalsburg) for a working chicken house fire at 27325 Greenwood Road. Officer 316 (D. Higgs) arrived on location, reported one chicken house full involved, established command and requested the Tanker Task Force. Additional equipment was also requested from Station 78 (Greenwood Del.) and Station 47 (Farmington Del.). Crews operated on the scene for several hours doing overhaul.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Office.
