2/7/2013 – At approximately 7:00 AM Talbot Center dispatched Station 50 (Cordova) and Paramedic 96 for a 10-50 PI at the intersection of Matthewstown Road and Lewistown Road. Units arrived on location to find an SUV and trash truck involved in a T-Bone style collision. Officer 505 (N. Lange) established command. Paramedic 90 was added to the Rescue box and Aviation was requested. One patient was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in serious condition by Trooper 6 and one patient was transported to the Memorial Hospital at Easton with minor injuries.
The Maryland State Police are handling the accident investigation.
