9/16/2011 – At approximately 7:10 AM Queen Anne’s County dispatched Station 4 (Goodwill), Station 3 (Queenstown) and several Paramedic Units for an MVC with rollover at the intersection of Route 301 and Route 304.
Officer 405 (J. Kiel) arrived on location to find two vehicles involved, one vehicle was overturned with three patient entrapped. Officer 405 (J. Kiel) established command and requested Aviation. Crews extricated the patients and packaged them for transport. Trooper 6 and Trooper 1 each transported a patient to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. One Patient was transported to Chester River Hospital with minor injuries and one patient was pronounced dead at the scene.
South bound Route 301 remained closed for most of the morning while the accident was investigated and cleaned up.
