3/5/2011 – At approx. 07:23 hours the Laurel, Blades, Seaford, and Sharptown Fire Departments were dispatched for a water rescue at portsville pond. Asst. Chief Keith Lecates responded and arrived first in command 81. Lecates found a single vehicle into the water off the boat ramp, with a female subject still inside. Rescue 81 arrives and rescue divers enter the water and quickly extricate the subject. Patient was placed into the Ambulance by BLS/ALS providers and treated for hypothermia. Command placed all other responding Departments in service. It’s undetermined what happened, but the patient stated she had been there since approx. 02:00 am.
