3/29/2010 – At 3:30pm Wicomico Central alerted Station 16 to a car fire on the Rt 50 Bypass eastbound, just east of Naylor Mill Rd. exit. Upon arrival crews found a white Mercedes sedan with its engine compartment fully involved. Engine 16-1 made quick work of extinguishing. – – About 35 minutes later Central alerted Station 5 (Hebron) to a rollover with entrapment. Crews arrived to find a Ford pickup upside down in a ditch. The driver apparently driving on the rain slicked highway when he left the roadway was was tripped up by the soft embankment. The patient was transported priority 2 to PRMC.
