1/24/2010 – On January 24, 2010, a Propane Emergencies Awareness class was held at the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department. The class was put on by The National Propane Education and Research Committee. The speakers were Dennis Cruise of the Virginia Propane & Gas Association, Burt Owens, Rick Chatan, and Larry Miller of Sharp Energy. On topic was propane awareness in emergency situations, along with general knowledge of propane and its properties. Dennis gave a great lecture about the propane, the storage containers and what to do in case of an emergency. Also shown during the lecture was a great video from the CSB called half hour to tragedy which is below this story. I want to say thank you to everyone there for attending and to the individuals for putting it on, and also to the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department for allowing us the use of the facilities.
