1/19/2010 – At 10:37am Stations 2, 16 & 1 were alerted to an apartment complex fire on Baker St. in Salisbury. Crews arrived to the 2 story multi-family dwelling located on the 600 block with light smoke showing. When crews arrived on location they encountered smoke conditions throughout the structure. Crews searched the entire apartment and discovered that the smoke was coming from a piece of carpet that was partially covering the floor heat vent on the first floor. The carpet was actually melting.
