1/9/2010 – At 3:42pm Sussex EOC alerted Station 74 (Delmar), Station 79 (Gumboro) and Station 81 (Laurel) to a reported house fire in the 36,000 block of Smith Mill Church Rd. in Delmar. Deputy 74 (A. Rementer) arrived on location to find fire showing from side A. Command requested standby tanker crew from Parsonsburg (Station 6) and an engine crew from Salisbury Station 2 to standby at Station 74. The situation was brought under control in about 45 minutes. The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
