6/10/2009 – At approximately 2:20 PM Talbot Center dispatched Station 50 (Cordova) and Paramedic 90 for a 10-50 PI involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Chapel Road and Three Bridge Branch Road. Prior to the arrival of Paramedic 90, they were advised there was one patient in trauma arrest and CPR was in progress. Due to this information Paramedic 90 requested a second Paramedic unit. Upon their arrival they advised all incoming units the accident was about ΒΌ of a mile north of the intersection and requested aviation. Engine 51 arrived with firefighter R. Satchell assuming command. Due to the amount of rain in the last week, Engine 54 set up the landing zone in the parking lot of Station 50 and the patient was transported there by Paramedic 90. The patient was then transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by Trooper 6. The accident is being investigated by the Talbot County Sheriff Dept.
