4/10/2009 – At 8:00 AM Queen Anne’s County Station 3 (Queenstown), Station 4 (Goodwill), Paramedic 300, and Paramedic 400 were dispatched for a 10-50 PI, reported to be serious with entrapment at the intersection of Ocean Gateway (Route 50) and Route 213. Chief 3 (T. Nelson) arrived on location and established command. After extrication, two patients were transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by Trooper 6. The third patient suffered fatal injuries. Route 50 remained closed for approximately three hours while the Maryland State Police Crash Team conducted their investigation. Situation was placed under control and units cleared the scene about 11:00 AM.
