2/11/2009 – On Wednesday afternoon Sta.3 Fruitland along with Salisbury EMS was alerted for a accident with injuries involving a motorcycle on Camden Ave & Cedar Ln in Fruitland. Engine 301 arrived to find a Jeep Cherokee in the middle of the intersection with a motorcycle lying on its side near the front of the truck. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike after striking the truck in the front end a thrown about 20 feet away from the impact.
The intersection was shut down for about one hour while fire crews cleaned up the mess and the Maryland State Police could investigate the accident. Salisbury EMS transported one patient from the motorcycle to PRMC in serious condition. The driver of the truck refused treatment at the scene.
