2/1/2009 – On Super Bowl Sunday morning Laurel Fire Department (Station 81) performed a controled burn of 3 chicken houses on Hitch Pond Rd. They were assisted by crews and tankers from Delmar (Station 74) and Gumboro (Station 79). The first house burned required extra care due to underground fuel storage tanks, along with above ground gasoline & diesel pumps. After the first house, crews made quick work of burning the remaining two houses.
