12/3/2008 – On December 3rd, 2008 at 6pm, Wicomico Central alerted Station 74 (Delmar), Station 2 (Salisbury) & Station 5 (Hebron) to a reported structure fire at 400 E. Chestnut St., Delmar. Command arrived on location in POV finding a kitchen fire quickly getting out of hand. Engine 74-3 arrived first on scene, followed by Truck 2 and additional crews from Delmar & Hebron. The fire worked its way up the wall into the 2nd floor and attic of the structure. The fire was put under control in about 25 minutes. Extensive overhaul was required due to the heavy smoke condtions and various hotspots throughout the house.
