11/5/2008 – On November 5, 2008 the Sussex Co EOC alerted Sta.74 for a motor vehicle accident at Rt.13 and Allen’s Mill Rd in the southbound lane. 7415 (S. Johnson) arrived to find a two car collision that left one car down an embankment and into a field. 74 Command advised Rescue 74 that they had one driver trapped in the Mazda in the field. Rescue crews had to remove the driver side door and roof to free the driver. Three patients of the van along with the driver of the car were transported to PRMC in Salisbury for treatment.
Delmar Fire Police shut down one lane and the shoulder of the highway during the accident. Delaware State Police & Delmar Town Police were also on scene.
