4/12/2008 – The Delmar Fire Department held a controlled burn on Robin Hood Rd east of town. Crews from Sta.79 Gumboro & Sta.6 Parsonsburg helped out with tankers to supply water for crews protecting a chicken house along with a large propane tank. This was just a straight burn with no interior training. Still some of the newer members were able to handle hose lines and flow some water. Even with a gusty wind blowing the drill went just as planned. Crews were on scene for about 2 hours then it was turned over to the property owner.
