Linkwood Salem Sta 61
4/13/2010 - Lois Ann Henry
Sept. 22, 1940 - April 13, 2010

The members of Linkwood-Salem Volunteer Fire Company are deeply sadden by the loss of their dear friend and Life Member, Lois Ann Henry. She was a dedicated member with
48 years of active service. Over the years Lois Ann had served as an officer in the capacity of Secretary and Assistant Secretary. She was very active and kept the members motivated in the many fundraisers she had been involved in over her many years beginning with bazaars which lead into dances, bull roasts, Bingos, BBQ s and chicken and oyster dinners. Lois Ann was chairman of the 50th Anniversary celebration which was held in 2007 and worked over 2 years on that project. She was diligent as the curator of the pictorial history of Linkwood-Salem VFC. She was honored with Female Volunteer of the Year in 1992 and again in 2007. Lois Ann was recognized with the Meritorious Service Award in 1999. Lois Ann has been very dedicated to the Veteran s Recognition Committee based in Dorchester County since its inception. She leaves behind a loving family of 3 sons and their spouses, 8 grandchildren, a brother and an abundance of loving friends. May God Bless!

Viewing will be this Friday 4-16-2010 from 6 - 8 PM at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, High Street, Cambridge, MD and the funeral is at 1:00 PM Saturday 4-17-2010 at the same location with internment at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
