Charles Fletcher 'Buck' Clough

4/15/2009 - It is with our deepest and sincerest regrets to inform you that Chief Charles Fletcher 'Buck' Clough, Jr. has has succumbed to his injuries sustained in an accident tonight 4-15-2009 while responding to a call.

SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - The Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office say the chief of the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company died in a vehicle accident in Sudlersville Wednesday night.

According to investigators, Charles Fletcher ''Buck'' Clough Jr., 41, was responding to a call around 8 p.m. when the single vehicle accident happened on Sudlersville Cemetery Road near Duhamel Corner Road in Northern Queen Anne's County.

Clough was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say Clough was the only occupant of the Ford truck at the time of the accident.

Police are continuing the investigation.
