Robert 'Ducky' Detweiler
Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company
3/13/2013 - It is with a heavy heart that the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company tell you about the lost of Robert 'Ducky' Detweiler, a Past Chief that also served 62 years in the firehouse. Ducky was born on February 15, 1919 in Trumbauersville, Pennsylvania was a wonderful man inside and out. He was always either making you laugh at something are had a smile on your face for something he said to you when he walk into the door. If you seen him out in about around town he would always approach you with a generous Hello followed by How are you and the family? Ducky which he was known for over 75 years could start talking to anyone and within minutes have a friend he was that type of person. Robert Ducky Detweiler passed away yesterday morning at the age of 94 he will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Tomorrow is never promised so we have to live each day to the fullest and this man did, he never let an opportunity pass him by so I would like to say to rest easy my friend your time on earth is through, go rest high on that mountain, son your work on earth is through, go to heaven shouting, love for the father and the son you surely will be missed a great deal from your wife to the people you touched the hearts of all through life. God bless you Ducky 2/15/1919-3/13/2013
